Welcome to The Poobel! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, website, and any related features provided by The Poobel LLC. Before using any services provided by The Poobel, please carefully read these Terms and Conditions of Service, our Privacy Policy, Recurring Payment Terms (if applicable), and any other guidelines or policies available on our website or platform. By accessing or using The Poobel’s services, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined in this Agreement. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our platform or services.
By creating an account, scheduling services, or accessing any part of our platform, you enter into a direct contractual relationship with The Poobel LLC, a service provider that facilitates convenient residential and commercial waste bin placement, eco-friendly bin cleaning, and same-day delivery of hygiene and household essentials and cleaning products and equipment.
You acknowledge that The Poobel operates as a service provider and logistics platform, connecting customers, including homeowners, residents, property managers, and businesses with our trained associates, who deliver and carry out services on behalf of The Poobel. These associates may operate under The Poobel brand and follow strict service protocols but are not classified as employees unless otherwise stated.
By using our platform, you accept and agree to the terms outlined in this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, you are not authorized to access or use The Poobel’s services.
Definitions
For the purposes of these The Poobel Terms and Conditions of Service, the following definitions apply:
- “The Poobel” refers to The Poobel LLC and all of its services, technologies, websites, applications, and branded materials, including its bin management, cleaning, and product delivery operations.
- “Platform” means The Poobel’s digital services, including the website, customer dashboard, mobile interface (if applicable), and any software, updates, or documentation provided to support service use.
- “Associate(s)” refers to individuals employed or contracted by The Poobel to carry out operational tasks such as moving bins, cleaning, product delivery, or customer support. Associates act on behalf of The Poobel but may not necessarily be direct employees.
- “Subscriber” means any individual, household, or business that has signed up for a recurring paid service plan with The Poobel. Subscribers are eligible for exclusive benefits, including but not limited to free same-day delivery (depending on the plan), priority scheduling, and trial access.
- “User” refers to any person who accesses or interacts with The Poobel’s platform, including visitors, customers, and subscribers, regardless of whether they have an active paid plan.
- “Services” refers to all offerings provided by The Poobel, including but not limited to Bins to Curb service, trash bin cleaning, product delivery through The Poobel Shop, and any additional features introduced over time.
- “The Poobel Shop” refers to the e-commerce arm of The Poobel, which offers one-time or subscription-based delivery of cleaning, hygiene, and home care products.
- “Service Area” means the geographic regions where The Poobel currently provides active services. These areas are subject to change based on expansion or logistical capacity.
- “Billing Cycle” refers to the recurring schedule by which a Subscriber is charged for services (e.g., monthly, every 6 months, or annually), based on the plan selected at the time of signup.
- “Trial Period” means the initial free period granted to new subscribers, during which services are provided at no cost before the start of a paid subscription.
What We Collect
I. Services Provided
The Poobel offers three core services designed to make your daily routine easier, cleaner, and more convenient:
- Bin to Curb Service: Based on the monthly service plan selected at signup, our assigned Associate will transport your trash and/or recycling bins to the curb before your scheduled or the evening before waste collection day. After collection, your bins will be promptly returned to their original storage location.
- Bin Cleaning Service: We professionally sanitize, disinfect, and deodorize your trash bins using eco-friendly cleaning products and specialized equipment, helping eliminate odors, bacteria, and pests.
- The Poobel Shop: We provide convenient access to cleaning, hygiene, and home care products through one-time orders or subscription-based delivery. Subscribers enjoy free same-day delivery (excluding the Basic Plan).
II. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian to use our services. By using our platform, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and up-to-date.
III. Subscriptions & Payment Terms

When you subscribe to SMS updates from The Poobel, here’s what you need to know:
Pricing
By subscribing to The Poobel, you agree to pay the current service fee for the plan you selected at the time of signup, along with any applicable local, state, or federal taxes. All fees are due in accordance with the billing terms presented during checkout.
The Poobel reserves the right to modify pricing for any of its services at any time, at its sole discretion. In the event of a pricing change, you will be notified in advance. Any new pricing will take effect in the next billing cycle following the notice, unless otherwise stated
Change in Price
While The Poobel makes every effort to keep pricing fair and competitive, some cost increases may be outside of our control. If a change is required to your recurring service fee, The Poobel will provide at least 60 days’ written notice. If you do not agree with the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription at any time prior to the change taking effect. If you do not cancel, your payment method will be charged at the new rate automatically.
Billing
Service fees are billed in advance based on the payment frequency selected during signup (monthly, 6-month, or yearly). Billing will automatically recur to maintain uninterrupted service.
If you wish to cancel and avoid future billing, you must either cancel your subscription directly through your account or contact our support ( contact@thepoobel.com ) team for assistance.
All applicable sales taxes will be added to your service charges where required by law.
Payment Terms
By subscribing, you authorize The Poobel to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis, according to the service plan you selected. This may include billing cycles on a monthly, 6-month, or annual basis, depending on your preferences.
Your subscription will auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 3 days before the next billing cycle begins, in accordance with these Terms.
Recurring Payments Terms & Conditions
By enrolling in a subscription plan with The Poobel, you agree to the following recurring payment terms:
Authorization for Billing
By selecting a payment plan and submitting your subscription, you authorize The Poobel to charge your designated Payment Method (credit card, debit card, or other accepted method) for your recurring service fees, in accordance with the plan you selected.
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly, every 6 months, or yearly), unless you cancel as outlined in our Cancellation Policy.
Payments & Account Responsibility
- You confirm that the Payment Method used is yours and that sufficient funds or credit will be available at the time of billing.
- Charges will be processed on your designated Billing Date, based on the frequency of your selected plan.
- The Poobel may use automatic account updater services provided by your bank or card issuer to ensure payment continuity if your card details (e.g. number or expiration date) change.
Automatic Renewal
Your plan will renew for the same term length (e.g., another month or year) at the current rate in effect unless:
- You cancel your subscription at least 2 days before the next billing cycle, or
- The Poobel cancels or discontinues your service.
Payment Notifications
You will receive a confirmation email when you enroll. Beyond this, The Poobel may or may not send individual reminders or receipts for each automatic payment.
We recommend keeping a copy of your enrollment confirmation for your records.
Keeping Your Info Current
It is your responsibility to ensure your:
- Payment details remain valid and up to date
- Email address is active to receive important service and billing information
Declined Payments
If a charge is declined, The Poobel will:
- Pause your service temporarily
- Attempt to charge your Payment Method daily for up to 20 consecutive days
- If still unsuccessful, we may retry once per day for two additional months
Service will remain paused until payment is successfully processed. You will not receive service during this time unless your subscription is restored.
IV. Same-Day Delivery
- Same-day delivery is free for subscribers, excluding those on the Basic Plan. Non-subscribers may use this service for a fee.
- Orders must be placed before 5:00 PM to qualify for same-day delivery. Otherwise, your order will be delivered early the next day.
- Deliveries occur between 6:30 AM and 10:30 PM, with a delivery window of 1 to 4 hours.
- We are not responsible for delivery delays caused by weather, traffic, or other unforeseen
events.
V. Service Access
By subscribing to The Poobel’s services, you authorize The Poobel and its Associates to access your designated property for the purpose of performing services, including moving waste and recycling bins to and from the curb, cleaning bins, and delivering products. By doing so, you
confirm that you have the legal right to grant such access and that the property is safe and accessible for our Associates to carry out the service.
It is your responsibility to ensure that trash and recycling bins are accessible on the scheduled service dates. If access is blocked due to locked gates, obstructions, pets, or any other limitations, The Poobel reserves the right to reschedule the service at our discretion. In such cases, no credit or refund will be issued for missed or incomplete services caused by inaccessibility.
Our Associates are instructed to report any issues or irregularities directly to our internal team. They are not required to contact customers at the time of service.
Service Safety & Access Policies
To ensure the safe and smooth delivery of The Poobel’s services, all customers are expected to maintain a safe environment and follow the policies outlined below. These terms apply to all service types, including Bin-to-Curb, Bin Cleaning, and Product Delivery.
Pets
It is the homeowner’s or resident’s responsibility to ensure that all pets are safely contained during scheduled service times.
For the safety of our Associates, if an unrestrained pet is present on the property and our Associate determines the situation is unsafe, your service will not be completed that day. If you’re enrolled in service alerts, you will be notified via SMS or email.
No credits, refunds, or rescheduling will be issued for missed services caused by unrestrained pets. Please secure pets appropriately prior to service arrival.
Vehicles
The Poobel Associates will always make their best effort to carefully place trash and recycling bins at the curb for collection.
However, The Poobel is not responsible for any damage caused to or by vehicles that may knock over or strike bins after they’ve been placed at the curb. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the area around bins is kept clear
Garage Access
If you choose to provide The Poobel with access to your garage (e.g., via code or app) for trash bin retrieval or return, the following terms apply:
- Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that providing garage access carries some risk, and you assume full responsibility for granting entry to your property.
- Limitations of Liability: The Poobel is not liable for:
- Missing or lost items from your garage.
- Damage to garage doors or door openers.
- Instances where the garage is left open or improperly secured.
You must disable any alarms or security systems on service days. The Poobel Associates are not responsible for disarming or reactivating alarms, nor for any consequences if a system is left inactive.
Please ensure garages are safe, free of hazards, and alarm-free at your scheduled service time.
Property Safety & Compliance
The customer is responsible for maintaining city compliance with all local codes and safety standards. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Fencing and gates
- Water backwash or waste lines
- Walkways and access paths
- Trash storage areas
Failure to maintain a safe and compliant property may result in delayed or canceled services without refund.
Compliance Matters
We maintain all necessary opt-in/out records to comply with TCPA and FCC standards.
Policy Changes
We reserve the right to update this document. Any significant changes will be shared with you directly or posted on our website.
Legal Disclaimer
The Poobel isn’t liable for delivery delays or undelivered messages caused by your wireless carrier.

Welcome to The Poobel's SMS Program
By signing up for SMS updates from The Poobel, you’re agreeing to receive recurring text messages at the number you provided. These messages may include service reminders, alerts, promotions, or account notifications. Participation means you accept these Terms & Conditions in line with 2024 TCPA and FCC regulations.
Message frequency varies, and additional mobile messages may be sent periodically based on your interaction with The Poobel. The Poobel reserves the right to alter the frequency of messages sent at any time to increase or decrease the total number of outbound messages. The Poobel also reserves the right to change the short code or phone number where messages are sent.
Message and data rates may apply. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider. Your wireless provider is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of purchase.

The Poobel collects data from the following sources:
1. Information Provided Directly by Users:
- Account Details: When customers or service team members sign up or make a request through The Poobel platform, we collect information such as full name, email address, phone number, username and password, residential or service address, optional profile photo, payment or bank information (along with related payment verification data), user preferences (including accessibility options), and any applicable loyalty or rewards program details.
- Background Checks : When individuals apply to join our team, we may collect background screening details, including driving history, legal background (as permitted by law), driver’s license status, previous addresses, and eligibility to work. These checks are generally performed by trusted third-party screening partners.
- Identification Verification: This includes official ID documents like driver’s licenses or passports (with names, dates of birth, ID numbers, and gender), and user-uploaded images such as selfies or profile pictures.
- Demographics: We collect or infer demographic data like age, gender, or occupation to enable age-restricted services, improve personalization, and support inclusive platform features (such as same-gender service preference). We may also conduct optional surveys to learn more about household demographics and preferences.
- User-Generated Content: When users contact support, rate our services, upload images, leave notes, or communicate with our team, we collect relevant content and feedback, including call recordings and chat logs when applicable.
2. Information Generated During Use of Our Services:
- Location Data (Crew): We gather location data from Crew members’ mobile devices when they are actively using the app. This includes both precise (GPS) and approximate location readings whether the app is open on-screen or running in the background.
- Location Data (Customers): If permitted by device settings, we collect similar location data from customers to help determine pick-up points or verify service delivery. Even when location sharing is off, the address entered manually will be stored. Additionally, location data from the Crew’s device may still be linked to the customer for verification and support purposes.
- Transaction Records: This includes service type, schedule details (such as date, time, location, and service distance), product orders, payment method, total amount, and promo usage. Customer notes (e.g., allergy info or preferences) may also be collected.
- Usage Logs: We gather data such as log-in times, app navigation paths, crash reports, feature usage, and general behavior within the platform.
- Device Info: This includes the device type, IP address, operating system version, preferred language, software identifiers, motion sensors, advertising ID, and carrier network details.
- Communications: For interactions facilitated by The Poobel platform (such as in-app chat, texts, or support calls), we collect timestamps, methods, and content recordings only when explicitly disclosed beforehand.
3. Data from External Sources:
- Referral Programs: If a user invites someone to use The Poobel, we may collect the referred user’s name or contact info from the inviter.
- Shared Accounts: Customers using family or business accounts (like Enterprise Plans) may allow services for other individuals; we collect info about those additional users.
- Claims and Support Cases: We gather information from individuals or parties submitting service complaints or resolving disputes.
- Business Partners: When users create an account through platforms such as payment gateways, social media logins, or integration APIs, we receive relevant data.

How We Use This Data:
The Poobel uses collected data to offer efficient, secure, and personalized service experiences. Key use cases include:
- Core Service Delivery:
- Creating and managing user accounts.
- Assigning and routing service requests based on real-time proximity, preferences, or past usage.
- Using location data for tracking, ETA estimates, and service validation.
- Enabling service features such as real-time Crew updates, bin pick-up tracking, and support ticket resolution.
- Facilitating payment processing, invoicing, and receipts.
- Troubleshooting system errors, bugs, or technical issues.
- Security & Compliance:
- Performing identity and account verification (including document scanning and facial matching).
- Monitoring Crew compliance with safety protocols, such as wearing safety gear or using proper vehicles.
- Using app data (e.g., speeding or route behavior) to promote safe driving habits.
- Investigating and managing suspicious behavior or multiple account fraud.
- User Communication:
- Notifying users about appointments, service windows, or system updates.
- Supporting customer inquiries and post-service feedback.

- Marketing (With Consent):
- Sending promotional offers or service updates only when permitted under law or through explicit user opt-in.

All these uses are either essential to delivering our service, legally required, or grounded in The Poobel’s legitimate interest to protect our platform and community.
VIII. Data Retention and Transparency
Data Retention
The Poobel retains user information only as long as it’s needed to support the purposes outlined above. Retention timelines vary based on the type of data, user category, intended use, and whether a request for account deletion has been submitted. Examples include:
- Account Information: Retained as long as a user account is active to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Financial and Service Records: Retained for up to 7 years when necessary for legal or tax compliance e.g., service logs or CanCrew route records.
- Safety and Fraud Checks: Data like incomplete applications may be stored for 1 year, while rejected applications or flagged security items may be retained for up to 7 years for future reference.
Users can request account deletion through the Privacy section of The Poobel app or website. Once deletion is requested, The Poobel removes most account-related data unless retention is needed for legal, fraud prevention, security, or dispute resolution purposes. For instance:
- Crew members’ data may be retained for ongoing legal, tax, or insurance obligations.
- Customer accounts are typically purged within 90 days unless exempt due to unresolved financial matters or active claims.
User Control & Transparency
The Poobel gives users tools to view, manage, and control their personal data, including via:
- Privacy settings
- Device permission management
- In-app service ratings
- Marketing and ad preferences
We also allow users to request access, correction, restriction, or deletion of their data directly through our Privacy Center.
Privacy Settings
- Location Sharing (Customers): Users can toggle location permissions via their mobile device settings or within the Location Sharing menu inside The Poobel app.
- Live Location with Crew: Customers can choose whether or not to share real-time location with service providers during appointments.
- Gender Identity: Users can manage their gender preferences in the Ads & Data settings menu for personalization purposes.
- Emergency Location Sharing: Customers may enable real-time sharing of their location and other key identifiers (e.g., vehicle, name, contact number) with emergency responders. CanCrew members can also toggle this feature through their in-app Safety Toolkit.
- Notifications: Users may opt in or out of promotional notifications for discounts and service updates.
- Third-Party Access: If users link third-party tools or platforms (e.g., loyalty programs), they can manage permissions or revoke access anytime via their Privacy Center.
Device Permissions
Most mobile platforms require explicit user permission for access to certain types of data. Users should check device settings to manage these permissions.
Service Ratings
Following each appointment, users and Crew can rate one another from 1 to 5 stars. These scores are averaged and visible to the other party to encourage mutual accountability. Rating details can be accessed via the main menu or the Privacy Center.
Marketing & Ad Preferences
The Poobel gives users the ability to:
- Personalized Communications: Opt in or out of personalized emails, push alerts, and in-app messages related to promotions or updates.
- Data Sharing and Tracking: Decide if The Poobel can track usage across third-party apps or sites for ad targeting.
- Cookies and Analytics: Visit our Cookie Notice for details on how to manage cookie preferences.
Your Data, Your Requests
- Access & Portability: Users can review or download data, including order history and profile details, directly through the app or website.
- Editing Information: Contact details, payment methods, and photos can be updated through the Settings menu.
- Account Deletion: Can be requested at any time via the Privacy Center.
- Limit or Object to Use: Users may request that their data usage be limited or halted, especially where data is processed on the basis of The Poobel’s legitimate interests. We will honor such requests where allowed by law.
- Regulatory Complaints: Depending on the region, users can also file complaints with their national or local data protection authority.
IX. Legal Disclosures & Global Compliance
Data Responsibility
The Poobel LLC is the data controller responsible for processing all personal data gathered through its services. In cases of joint service with affiliates, data controller responsibilities may be shared.
To submit data-related requests, customers and Crew members can visit our Privacy Center.
Data Transfers & International Use
The Poobel operates globally, and data may be processed outside of a user’s country, including
within the United States where data protection laws may differ. This includes:
- Processing your service history and profile on U.S.-based servers.
- Enabling customer support access from different regions.
- Delivering consistent service and support regardless of user location.
We’re committed to international privacy compliance, including:
- Encrypting data in transit and at rest.
- Implementing internal access controls.
- Providing global team training on privacy and security practices.
X. Policy Updates
We may occasionally revise this privacy policy. If significant changes occur, users will be notified via the app, email, or other appropriate means. Continued use of The Poobel’s services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, where allowed by law.
