VII. Data Collection & Usage
The Poobel collects data from the following sources:
1. Information Provided Directly by Users:
- Account Details: When customers or service team members sign up or make a request through The Poobel platform, we collect information such as full name, email address, phone number, username and password, residential or service address, optional profile photo, payment or bank information (along with related payment verification data), user preferences (including accessibility options), and any applicable loyalty or rewards program details.
- Background Checks : When individuals apply to join our team, we may collect background screening details, including driving history, legal background (as permitted by law), driver’s license status, previous addresses, and eligibility to work. These checks are generally performed by trusted third-party screening partners.
- Identification Verification: This includes official ID documents like driver’s licenses or passports (with names, dates of birth, ID numbers, and gender), and user-uploaded images such as selfies or profile pictures.
- Demographics: We collect or infer demographic data like age, gender, or occupation to enable age-restricted services, improve personalization, and support inclusive platform features (such as same-gender service preference). We may also conduct optional surveys to learn more about household demographics and preferences.
- User-Generated Content: When users contact support, rate our services, upload images, leave notes, or communicate with our team, we collect relevant content and feedback, including call recordings and chat logs when applicable.
2. Information Generated During Use of Our Services:
- Location Data (Crew): We gather location data from Crew members’ mobile devices when they are actively using the app. This includes both precise (GPS) and approximate location readings whether the app is open on-screen or running in the background.
- Location Data (Customers): If permitted by device settings, we collect similar location data from customers to help determine pick-up points or verify service delivery. Even when location sharing is off, the address entered manually will be stored. Additionally, location data from the Crew’s device may still be linked to the customer for verification and support purposes.
- Transaction Records: This includes service type, schedule details (such as date, time, location, and service distance), product orders, payment method, total amount, and promo usage. Customer notes (e.g., allergy info or preferences) may also be collected.
- Usage Logs: We gather data such as log-in times, app navigation paths, crash reports, feature usage, and general behavior within the platform.
- Device Info: This includes the device type, IP address, operating system version, preferred language, software identifiers, motion sensors, advertising ID, and carrier network details.
- Communications: For interactions facilitated by The Poobel platform (such as in-app chat, texts, or support calls), we collect timestamps, methods, and content recordings only when explicitly disclosed beforehand.
3. Data from External Sources:
- Referral Programs: If a user invites someone to use The Poobel, we may collect the referred user’s name or contact info from the inviter.
- Shared Accounts: Customers using family or business accounts (like Enterprise Plans) may allow services for other individuals; we collect info about those additional users.
- Claims and Support Cases: We gather information from individuals or parties submitting service complaints or resolving disputes.
- Business Partners: When users create an account through platforms such as payment gateways, social media logins, or integration APIs, we receive relevant data.
- Card Partnerships: If The Poobel offers co-branded payment cards through financial institutions, those institutions may share usage data under agreed terms.
- Identity and Fraud Services: We may work with background screening vendors, fraud detection partners, and verification services to confirm user identity and meet legal compliance standards.
- Insurance and Financial Partners: For Crew, we may receive insurance status, vehicle ownership, or financing details from approved partners.
- Transportation Affiliates: For Crew operating through third-party partners or contracted agencies, those entities may share profile and performance information.
- Public Records and Marketing Vendors: This may include publicly available demographic info, or aggregated insights from market research providers.
